Time capsule
Interesting bit from an earlier age. Does anyone know anything about Essex Films? Where were they located?

There is something remarkable
Overall this is just a piece of fully working entertainment. Good timing done by the actors and pretty well edited too. Most remarkable thing is the use of stop-motion-animation.

This is a real gem. Fields made a few silents, but never went over big. It didn't seem to be his medium. But in this first 1915 short he is all there, fully formed, personality, timing, and love/hate relationship with inamimate objects.
Plus there is some funny stop motion animation.
